Lift the applicable control to allow the lead to extend and retract freely again.
Test before walking
Gently pull each lead after locking it to confirm that the selected length is secured.
Control tip: Practise operating the two buttons before the first walk so the controls feel familiar when both dogs are moving.

a quick safety check.
Check compatibility: Make sure each hook is securely connected to a correctly fitted collar or harness suitable for the individual dog.
Inspect before use: Do not use the leash if the webbing, hooks, swivel mechanism, handle or locking controls show damage or unusual wear.
Maintain safe control: Retractable leads require active supervision. Keep the leads shorter near roads, crowds, children, other animals and unfamiliar surroundings.
Cleaning and storage: Wipe the handle and leads with a lightly damp cloth. Allow the webbing to dry before fully retracting or storing the leash. Avoid immersing the handle or flashlight assembly.
Low-light walks: Test the built-in flashlight before leaving home. The light is an additional convenience and does not replace reflective clothing, safe routes or responsible visibility precautions.
